Welcome
Welcome to the Whitby Wizards Basketball Club website. The Club was established
in 2007 by Sion Parry and Jeremy Carter. Both Sion and Jeremy share a common interest
in Basketball. Particularly Sion who has played in the top tier of the English National
League.
We are Whitby's only basketball club and currently comprise of just one team, an
under 16s team. However we are looking to grow and would welcome youngsters including
girls from all age groups above 8 years of age. We compete in a Whitby and Ryedale
Central Venue League where we have experienced some success. We train on a Monday
evening at Whitby Leisure Centre and on a Tuesday at Whitby Community College all
session are run by Level 3 Coach Martin.
We run 2 training sessions at Whitby Leisure Centre, Mondays 4.00pm – 5.00pm ages
8 – 12yrs and 5.00pm – 6.00pm ages 13 – 16 all sessions are run by Qualified coaches.

Level 1 Basketball Course
This course has now been completed with all 15 people successfully passing. We look forward to these new coaches making their coaching debuts. This is fantastic news as we as a club continue to exer..
